What color were these tach plugs in the  D series when the tractors were new?

Anybody know?  Thanks.

just a hunch but I would say from the looks of the one by the key they were galvanized. Many parts on my 1963 wheelhorse were like that.

It was probably painted orange. All the ones that I have seen were earlier models, and were all orange. If that had been galvanized, it still would be, unless someone rubbed the zinc away.
