Though it was time to treat the '34 (#629) to an oil change. Warmed it up well mowing lawn, drained the oil and, when I went to change the oil filter I found no pipe in the filter base!
Is there any reason I can't make one out of 1/4" OD X 4.5" pipe? Is the ID diameter critical?
'34 WC #629, '49 G, '49 B, '49 WD, '62 D-19, '38 All Crop 60 and still hunting!

You can make one. But it would be easy to find a replacement from a junked tractor too.

Did you make sure it's not stuck in the filter?
