3 bottom plow parts

I am in need of parts for my snap coupler plow, particularly a new share which was broken off when I bought it.  Who has parts for these plows? It is the kind of share that fits into a hole on the backside and then drawn tight by a long bolt which also is broken, and also a shorter bolt that clamps it on. Sorry I cant be more descriptive, I dont know what model plow it is either.

Ross, take the share off and look on the back for a number. I have a 53 plow that uses a share like the one you described. I'm parting out a couple of plows, but none of them have that share.

Plow shares tended to not be interchangeable between bottoms. There were a dozen or more different bottom numbers (each often offered in three widths) and often at least a half dozen plow share options for each bottom number and width. If I was at home, I could possibly identify the bottom from a picture of the bottom taken from below. All the interesting details are of the frog, the braces, and underside of the assembly. I have a plow bottoms book that all the assemblies are drawn as the plow is laying on the landside and viewed from the bottom direction.

Knowing the plow frame number won't do much to identify the bottom, as bottoms were sold separately from plow frames and mostly interchange. The 50 family has a straight vertical shank and a fixed frame width. The 60 has a sloping shank and fixed frame width. The 70 has sloping shank and adjustable frame width (two plow widths only). The 80 has sloping spring trip shank and adjustable frame width.

To be dead certain about the bottom we need a number from the moldboard, frog, share, or shin to look up in he bottoms book. These parts interchange the least, landsides with the same numbers were used on several bottoms sometimes. The single bolt and hooked draw bolt shares, the best I recall were used in the 25, 125, and 325 plain bottoms and some of the similar slatted bottoms.

Measure plow bottom width by the distance between plow beams exactly perpendicular to the plow beams and the direction of travel. Should be 12, 14, 16, or rarely 18 inches.

That is what I need, anyone know if there are any remakes of these parts? I do need the J bolt also, but I need the share first.

Here are some pics, let me know if you need others to help identify, looking at the plow today, all 3 shares need replacing as they have seen use by the looks of it. Appreciate the help with locating them. I wish someone would make these parts still....

309211 is the moldboard for a 14" right hand #325 plow bottom. The only application for that moldboard.

You also need a 308816 bracket, draw rod that bolts to the bolt of the share and a 314586 draw rod. The share provides the front of the landside so its not a simple flat share. These parts were also used on the #25 bottom 14 inch and the bracket was used on the 16 inch #24 bottom. The draw rod was used on the 16" #24, all sizes of the #25, the #54 (only came in 14"), and the 14" prairie breaker bottom with Q.D. share.

Share numbers that fit are:308801 (soft center steel), 309246 (alfalfa), 323651 (F.C.D.S {full cut deep suck}), 308804 (solid steel), 308837 (Narrow C.D.S), 308807 (chilled iron), and 309222 (chilled iron, N.C.D.S.). All of these shares were also used on the #25 bottom.

I only have a plow bottoms book, no parts.

   I think I would buy another plow before paying $170 per share. Call Manchester Farm Center at 1-800-552-0512 I have got shares from them.
