I was wondering if i need to add weight on the front of my D17 for plowing, im planning on pulling 3 14's in really rocky ground. I am makeing a bracket on the front and im wondering if i should make it so i can add weight or if i dont need too. thanks steve

Add a rock box to the front , add weight as you need it, much cheaper than buying front wheel weights. A d17 in anything other than sticky clay should sing pulling 3-14's, you may not need any additional weight on the front.

Go slow when plowing in rocky ground! If you are moving quickly ans a share goes under a large rock, the front end of the tractor can come off the ground VERY quickly. Ask me how I know this.

Pull type no front weights but weight the back. We used to run 300 lbs in each wheel with fluid on pull type oplows on D17's and WD 45. Clay ground. Jim
