New teeth

Came early, as of yesterday!! Was not scheduled until next Tuesday but had cancellation and my temp upper had come in.
Had been busting those rocks still on the trailer, got over half split when got the call. Really sore but no dry socket, a few blood seeps nothing extraordinary or much volume, expected.

Four stitches on separate tooth slots as those took rougher extraction, dissolvable and expected to last a few weeks. Swelling is notable where is keeping denture tight for now, removed to check bleeds and to clean some this morning, near to tough to get back in.

Have to explore both options as to pricing, the key with a Denture is the first one you get will be a Temporary, if they tell otherwise go elsewhere as the gums change over the year after teeth are pulled and a next or more permanent denture will have to be made. 

My Current Choppers, at 67 with jaw structure reduction of bone mass, not qualified for implant or clip brace pins.

Very few people really need implants to hold a denture for the maxillary jaw. The lower is the problem.

lol...wait til you gits your first tooth ache...and you don't gots no teeth! I got my new store bought teeth over 20 years ago, still using the same ones. they were made in the back of a farm shop somewhere in IA. oh...and watch out when you eat anything that has tiny seeds, that little bugger will feel like a boulder if they gits between the gums and the plastic! yep...hurts LOTS! it's still one of the best investments I made.

This denture is a healing temp Denture, as I gain bone mass from the seeds the doc implanted and the gums heal the first year will add liners, between 9mos to a year once the determination that the jaw and gums are stable will get a second molding and a new fitted denture.  "Should last 5-20 years".

My Dad and Mother in Law both wore theirs 23 of 24 hours a day, slept in them where had out to clean or to see dentist or when ill.  For the initial fit and to establish if can handle this was told wear full time all time except to clean, will likely follow my Dad's lead.  Dad only had upper as I do. MIL had both and no issue.  My own is to get soft liner inserts, kind of like shoe inserts but glue in.  Cushion to the gums and jaw and at least twice for first year, potential for a third.  After the gums and jaw restorations are deemed sufficient they will remold my upper jaw and have the permanent denture made, said that one should last years without adjusts.  The ones I have now will become a spare set.

I only wears mine when I go someplace or am around other people. I usually go without them around the farm, oh...and when it's hot outside, they really get hot in my mouth....out they come then too! I can chew steak without them most of the time. usually eat most of the time without them. i'll leave them in when ina resturant tho.

I will not complain of my treatment method. The personnel at this office strive to make it absolutely the best of a worst day. The gals doing my adjustments noted my jaw and gum will change over the next months to a more stable level where the final denture should be a final.

dr P, you are correct, I had obvious issues with bone in my upper jaw, one abscessed tooth removed several years ago left a large divot, the last one the dentist here performed a BAD Root canal three years ago and then he and his successor tried to conquer a Fistula that returned time and again rather than have that one removed left More Damage.  That one almost made Nasal Passage as to bone loss with teeth either side very well supported.  HOWEVER, with my extraction came the commentary I had deeper roots than had seen prior and xrays had not presented as such where I have four Bone Graft Seed implants to repair those positions.  Bone regrowth will be a adding dimension to my jaw where a permanent denture cannot occur for some time.  My upper jaw line with no teeth is wavy and cratered, to a point is the only way I can get mine managed.

The second dentist noted them on the first base xray where expressed how they were visible and showed full extent on the 360 degree xray for my own benefit.  These were notably large enough to see, large dark ovals.  So long as fit is good for the final denture should not even need glue, do not need it currently.
