Trying to find a picture of where the governor linkage spring connects on the carburetor side of a D14. Any help?

There's a small hole in the rod that connects carb to govenor,closer to the carb ,maybe 4" away. The big hook end goes there, the smaller end goes around a manifold stud. Fun part is to put it on the correct stud ! one way it's full throttle, the right way it works properly.
i can NEVER remember..maybe that's why I have 4 D-14s to see what's right !

whichever it fits without being to stretched.
not being 'smart' but it needs light tension, just enough but not too much...

all my D-14s have different 'springs' and 'mounting positions', sigh....

I've never seen an official, factory fresh picture of the setup either !!

Now THAT would be nice to have posted !!

In the pic of the "governor rod linkage spring" it shows two springs. I think the inside one the "governor rod linkage spring" and is the outside one the "throttle control lever spring"? I know where the "governor rod linkage spring" connects to the little hole in the governor rod and the bolt but what is the use of the outer spring and where does it connect?

The picture shown is not correct. The spring in the picture is the choke return spring, not the surge spring.  People hook the spring incorrectly when they don't have the governor linkage set correctly. This happens when they go by what somebody said, instead of following the instructions in a service manual.
  The surge spring is a small wire spring with very low pull. It has a shepherd's hook on one end which is hooked up over the top/forward manifold stud. The other end has a tight loop that is to be connected in the hole in the governor rod that goes to the carburetor.
  The choke return spring shown in the picture has only a few coils with a long end and a small loop. The small loop hooks at the choke rod connection at the carburetor. The end near the coils hooks in the hole on the generator bracket. 
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.

This is where the anti surge spring goes.
