I like to make fun of people from Wisconsin and all the weird things they eat like rotten fish and such.
I have a dear friend (a little ole lady from Wisconsin ) at church I really like to poke at.
She recently made a comment on how much I like that rotten milk (aged cheddar) from Wisconsin.
I must say they have the cheddar makin down to a science.👍
One of my favorite parts about Christmas Day.

Growing up in Wisconsin, that ‘raw hamburger’ thing you mention, is actually ground round on a mini slice of rye bread w/slice of raw onion. Steak tartare is the proper name, never cared for it myself.
I do really enjoy fish, especially white fish, and salmon. Cheddar is ok, not my favorite. I prefer aged Swiss, Muenster, Longhorn Colby. Wisconsin still has some of the best beer.

Tiger meat, another good thing we have thanks to cheese is fresh squeaky cheese curd fresh from the cheese factory, when you get addicted it is hard to stop eating them. And a good supply of brats.

"Cannibal sandwiches" takes some higher quality meat than just plain hamburger. As stated, with a thin round of sliced raw onion--just the thing to ring in the new year! And don't forget a "Brandy Old-Fashioned, Sweet". Just to think, If I had stayed in Ohio, I would have thought that the best cheese was Velveeta! Now I know better! R. Musgrave

I tend to prefer beef a tad on the bleeding side with a Brown outer crust from a fire! I cannot do lutefisk and can barely do anything really Raw. LOVE Cheeses except Goat, STANKY!! Love sausages including Blood Sausage, really enjoy some local faves just not all.

As a neighbor, I love all, (or at least most) things Wisconsin! Aged Cheddar is top of the list. Older the better. Lots of good beer from cheeseland too.
Fishing in Canada over the years I've met A LOT of people from Wi. They all seemed to be very fun-loving.

When I was driving semi back in the 70sa buddy fixed some of that tartare at the hotel we stayed at of course the bar was just across the road and we had to try it was not something I enjoyed by I did tasting

Wasn't cold enough in Wisconsin the Scandinavians felt more at home in Minnesota. Some of them found some better land out there also.
