Probably came with steel wheels. They cut the outer wheel off and welded a regular rim to it to convert to rubber. A pic would be help full

This was also done with some WWII steel wheeled tractors.  Frankly, after WWII we usually junked the steel wheels and replaced them with rubber tired wheels and rims.  Whoever did this apparently did a good welding job.
Take good care of my favorite.
I too would like to see a picture.
Good Luck!

I have two steeled wheel B's (one has been parted out) that both have the spoke wheels with rubber tires. The "experts" on here tell me they were never made by AC, but I find it odd that I have two with exactly the same wheels. If they were conversions, whoever did the conversion was a real good welder !

I will try to find some pictures to post.

Look real close where the spokes are attached to the rim, you should easily tell if they were welded on to rim after the steel rim was cut off.

I kinda think that is the case the wheels look like they are welded to a rim , in fact one of the rims rusted thru and I got a friend that is said he would fix them for me if I buy some new rings/rims

Allis didn't make the round spoke wheels. They were a purchased finished part and had a steel wheel. The spokes were riveted into the steel wheels from the manufacturer, with no welding involved. It's real easy to see that a rubber tire rim is welded on to the spokes.
In this picture you can see how the spokes are swedged in place.

Are you sure rubber tires weren't a choice with these rims? I have four of them that look exactly like the one in the photo.

I would bet my paycheck, that your spokes are welded to the rubber tired rims. That never happened in production.

On page 55 of the "Bible" (Norm Swinford's Book) there is a picture of a war model B with steel wheels with this caption:

"Although the Model B was specifically designed for rubber tires, this 1942 model did not get an exemption from serving on steel wheels in World War II.
As soon as ties becamed available, most war tractors had their wheels cut down and rims welded on."

So.....I guess it would be fairly common to see wheels welded up as seen in CTucker's picture.
