My WD45 shifter popped out of place & the transmission was stuck in reverse. Pulled the snap ring out of the top of the shift tower and removed the shift lever. I tried a long screw driver to shift it into neutral but but I couldn't budge it. So I pulled the top off the transmission and drained and flushed it out, everything looks good. Put the transmission and the shift forks in neutral. The problem I have now is getting the long fork into it's coller when putting the top on back on the transmission. The two on top are no problem but the long one is not cooperating. What am I doing wrong? |

Try shifting the tranny AND the shift cover into second gear positions....it's a challenge to get one of those back on correctly.

It seems to me I tipped it to the left. Then while dropping it back in you rotate it to the right. Sounds easy enough.
