I'm looking for ideas for a building a pulling hitch for my 7000. I'm going to remove the 3 point to shed some weight. Wanting to build something adjustable that I can bolt on. Any ideas or pictures would be appreciated. Thanks

Whatever you design or copy from someone else, resist the urge to use a toplink attached near the hole and then up to the tractor somewhere. If this design breaks you will instantly be pulling from the top attaching point. In my opinion the best thing to do is make a sturdy pull point up under the middle of the rear housing and then a support at the rear that has a means to adjust quickly. I use shims and two bolts with a crossbar welded between them.
I also build some adjustability for length also, this comes in handy at times for different tracks. This is on my CA, I do understand that for a 7000 things will have to be much stronger than what I have here. Edited by PaulB - 21 Jun 2016 at 6:19am |

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Thanks for the help. I bought a draw bar at a salvage yard that has been cut off shorter. Thinking about hooking that in the stock location up under rear end then building a plate that bolts to the 6 bolts currently holding the hitch support and part of the lift arms.
