im lookin for a set of 18.4 28 tires. i found a set of 18.4 26 tires on massey rims from a combine ( unknown model) and was wondering  if they would even bolt up. if they will bolt up would they be much smaller? hopefully im not the only one on a strict budget and trying to make due with what i can get cheap. thanks in advance

I have tried a D-15 rim (26")  on a WD  (28") and it would not work.

Rim rubs on the upper bolts of the axle bearing retaining cap.

We have 18.4-26 off of a john Deere with eight bolt rims that fit right on are D17 but they stick out quite far on each side. We also have 16.9-26 on the other D17 on Gleaner Rims and they work good. I think the rims are off a Gleaner E.

I have 18.4x30 on a D17 and a 175(new model d17) they work fine, the tall tire will change the gear ratio though

My WD45 currently has 16.9X26 8-bolt combine tires and rims on it and it works fine...and yes they stick out pretty much like you set a set of spin-outs set all the way out.  Mike
