Here is a shot of Allis Dave plowing on my 1958 D17 when he visited this spring.
Does hauling a trailer count as work? How about getting ready to work? Plowing bean ground this spring. Regards, Chris Edited by Sugarmaker - 18 Sep 2016 at 7:18am |

Chris those are great shots of the plowing. I like the way Dave is watching the work not the camera. Also like the shot from the back it really shows just how it is sitting as it plows.

Used the D17 that I painted earlier this year to plant sweet corn and fill in a few spots in the field corn.

Thanks again joe. That's not a good picture but yes that's our new idea transplanter that my great uncle bought new through my grandfather as well as the D-17. They are planting pumpkin seed. We always used that transplanting tomatoes and one year long time ago we try'd just dropping seed in and they grew pritty well so that's how we plant pumpkin and butternut squash, the tank has water in it that we mix up miracle grow in and there's settings to drop a shot of water to whatever spacing you want and you put your plant in or seed in. I had joe post that thinking was a little different then the other pictures. And the other picture is dad scraping the driveway this morning and the 17 series IV is hooked to wagon load of hay I took picture the other day when taking pictures of the B.
That picture of us planting was the second year after being paralyzed, my neighbor hung me off forks and they rolled tractor under me lol Edited by Mikez - 18 Sep 2016 at 5:19pm |

Great pictures of the 17's working! Pat I fooled you on the plows those moldboards were sandblasted and then sprayed with silver metallic!
That transplanter brings back memories of planting acres of cabbage. Dad bought a Allis Model B to get slow enough for us to plant the WD45 was too fast. Regards, Chris |
