got another parts tractor for my d17d project i am hoping that the head will be good and the block it belonged to a customer, it ran real bad had a miss fuel leaks every where but it would pull start in 3 feet, couldnt get a starter rebiult very quick so i put the starter of of mine it does spin fast we did the injection pump on it our local pump shop rebiult the pump, pull started agian in just a few feet and sounds excellant , except as soon as we got all the cylinders firing it got so much blow by that it pushes oil out the oil filler doesnt have compression in the radiator so i think iwill have a good head what is the best guess broken rings or bad gasket and deck. i am tradeing this for some labor on there case tractor

I would take the head to a reputable shop and have it checked. That’s really the only way your going to know if it’s good.
