Is this an Allis Chalmers or a Simplicity painted green. My dad bought it new late 80s or early ninetys. It came green. Thinking about selling it.

I bought an Allis Chalmers 917 at an Auction Sale, it was said that it was 1 year old. I bought from a local Allis Dealer a new snow blower,
roto tiller, and blade, They are all green.

Simplicity built that but it is 'allis' in most GT collectors eyes. There was an entire line of Deutz Allis lawn and garden equipment that color. "spring Green"

Dad had a 616 hydro, same color. 1986 I believe, after the take over. Made by Simplicity for D Allis. It finally threw a rod 4 years ago due to low oil while mowering sideways on a bank. Good mower thou. He bought one of the Allis Chalmers reborn 46" AC130 mowers. Just couldn't resist that AC name on the hood.
