I bought an Allis Chalmers 917 at an Auction Sale, it was said that it was 1 year old. I bought from a local Allis Dealer a new snow blower, roto tiller, and blade, They are all green. Dusty ------------- 917 H, '48 G, '65 D-10 series III "Allis Express" |

Simplicity built that but it is 'allis' in most GT collectors eyes. There was an entire line of Deutz Allis lawn and garden equipment that color. Dad had a 616 hydro, same color. 1986 I believe, after the take over. Made by Simplicity for D Allis. It finally threw a rod 4 years ago due to low oil while mowering sideways on a bank. Good mower thou. He bought one of the Allis Chalmers reborn 46" AC130 mowers. I have a 1920h. Bought it for the engine but just kept using it as is. Also have a simplicity GTH 20. Clone !! Hydro, PS, Power lift, and locking differential. Love it!!! |
