 Topic: CA eccentrics

I pulled the rusted non-moving eccentrics off of one wheel of my CA. I noticed that one of the eccentrics had a modified clamp that wedges the eccentric between two stops. Is this standard on the CA rim? Those bolts in the rail are frozen too. How do you persuade them out? Also, when you spin the rim out or in, seems like it would be pain to line those clamp stops up with the holes in the rail. Am I seeing this wrong?

Steve,
I think if every thing is loose that they may not move/spin to hard. Have not tried to spin the wheels in or out on the WD's. If it like the WD's then you would want to move the stops to where you want the wheel to stop after the spin?
CA must be different than the WD since I heard some one say you need 1/2 inch square drive.

Chris,
I guess you put the stop where you want it, then spin to that point. Seems more difficult than for the D-series.

Steve, I am not the CA expert, but that is probably correct. Cheryl just seen a add for a CA at a local auction that has stuck motor. She said I don't need another tractor. Even if it has her initials CA = Cheryl Ann! Regards, Chris

Chris,
David out of Jax (Sandman) has told me for over a year to move up to a CA. I always loved the Cs and Bs. I must admit, the CA has become my favorite. I love this little tractor.

Steve,
Bigger toys! I like the concept! My neighbor stopped by and needed me to help him. He had a leak in the hydraulic system on his toy a CASE dozer. (I think its a 586H but could have the number mixed up) We found the hydraulic filter had come loose and he lost about 10 gallons of fluid. After that was tightened and topped off. I got a chance to move some dirt with it! Just made my day! Total blade control with right hand joy stick, stomp the left brake you turn left, one lever to shuttle from forward to reverse. I have a feeling I am going to get a chance to spend some quality time on that unit this summer!
