your engine and tractor SN are within 20 digits of each other.. Consider that the first 97 tractors in 1937 had WAK engines... and a few of the "NEW" 116 AC engines would go for SPARES and GEN SETS, etc..... i think you have a good match of ORGINAL parts.
and the engine SN ends with a G which should make it a GAS engine, not Kero, etc... So you have the higher compression engine of that era ( still very low compression)... the only question is has the motor ever been rebuilt and new 125 inch pistons installed... or is it ORIGINAL ? ..... right now, it dont make much difference... get it running ! ![]() Edited by steve(ill) - 7 minutes ago at 4:25pm |
