your right they are not toploaders like the rockwells, regular pinion style.

Go up in the top left corner and click on member control panel.  Once you are on that page, up on the top further to the right is File Manager.  Click on that.  Under that you can browse your computer and upload the pictures.   Make sure that the pictures are 1040 size wise or they won't load up as they are too big.   I use Picasa on my computer and I just export them into another folder and shrink the size as they are exported and then pull them out of there onto the forum.  Hope that helps.

That is no 301.It may not be turbo'd,can't see enough to tell. It's a "Buda".The intake and energy cell clamps tell the story.Does the D19D intake pipe flow like that one?

It's a 262 turbo diesel. The exhaust manifold and turbo drain line give it away.

Here's what I do. First at the bottom of the page is the post reply button. Do not use the quick reply box. Then when it pulls up the window to make your message in, go to the top of that window and you will see a picture frame. Click on it and it will bring up a photo uploading window. There you can upload pictures from your computer by clicking the browse button, when you find the one you want select it and hit the upload button. You will then be given a notice that it will take a minute to upload your picture to the server(takes about 2 seconds). Then it is best to preview it to make sure the pics are not to big. If they are you can use several online programs or download the Photo Resize Magic. After you have inserted your text and are satisfied hit post reply and you are done.

Hope this helps. I want to see those pictures.

There were some tandem tractor setups done prior to the advent of the large 4WD units.  I found some video of different models at:

Something like this perhaps?

Is the Power Horse  custom built? If so they did a good job.

That looks a lot like the first one pictured in this post. Looks like a real work horse. Are you going to make it to Albany this weekend?

No, they were an actual manufacturer. Here's the link to the article I borrowed the picture from:

Wow! Your memory is working very well - a lot better than mine!

The Power Horse was considered one of the first ''skid steer'' tractors.

Albert Bonham of Salt Lake City, Utah, designed the original Eimco Power Horse in the mid-1930s. They were only produced under the Eimco Company brand name for a few years. They were then sold under the Bonham name until the early '40s. The Power Horse tractor was built at several different facilities in Utah. Parts for the Eimco and Bonham units were purchased from Allis-Chalmers, including the hood, transmission and their model B-125 engine. The Chalmers B-125 engine had a 3-3/8-inch bore and a 3-1/2-inch stroke rated at 22.3hp at 1,400 RPM. The hood of the Power Horse closely resembled the Allis Chalmers B and WC model tractors of the '30s. Allis-Chalmers showed some interest in the design from their previous dealings with the Bonhams, and eventually bought the patent and hired Albert Bonham in 1942 in the hopes they could produce a more marketable Power Horse by war's end. Allis-Chalmers built only one known prototype and never produced any of the tractors under the A-C name. The Harris Manufacturing Company of Stockton, California, obtained production rights and began marketing the Power Horses in 1949. Production continued up into the early '60s.

I talked to this guy at the GOTO in Union Grove I believe.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaiACmfpFnM&feature=fvw
It seemed strange to watch a guy start the engine, put it in gear, set the throttle and then climb up on the wagon and work the reins to make it go.

The first time I saw that video, I thought it was someone's novelty rig - like the fella that put a make & break on a tractor frame. When I stumbled on the Hemmings article, that rig showed up again.

Well huh - get grandpa from behind a pair of mules and behind a set of pistons.

Looking at this, the engines are coupled, but they have exhaust on opposite sides?

389 Pontiac V-8. Was it governed I wonder? Did they make an industrial/power unit engine that had governors like Ford/Chrysler/other GMs? I supposed a governor could be adapted to almost any engine. Looks like it is a hoss. Really would have been in its' day i'm sure. Fun project. Keep us posted with progress pics.
