Sass in Stewartville MN that is listed on page one became Suess Equipment in the early 1970's and then closed the doors in the early or mid 1980's. Jack Suess was a real good dealer that switched several over from green and red to orange. The one son Mike started an auction company and independent repair shop at the dealership lot and sometime after that moved to Racine MN where he and his brother Phil conduct auctions yet today. Mike just retired from the repair end of the business in December 2016 just after he repaired the Power Director on my 200. So auctions only now. There is an article I read a few years ago about that dealership. I wish I could remember where I read it.

Marzolf Implement listed on page one is still going today in Spring Valley MN.

Hammell Equipment (The Hammell brothers bought the Allis Chalmers dealer there in 1976) in Chatfield MN took on CaseIH right after Deutz got its hands on Allis and slowly switched their customer base over to CaseIH. They still handle AGCO parts but gave up the equipment line back in the late 1980's or early 1990's. They opened an Allis Chalmers dealership in 1978 in Rushford and they still handle AGCOO parts there and they bought out the AGCO dealer, Deters Implement in Eitzen MN in 2008. I'm not sure if they handle any AGCO equipment anymore at any of these sights. Just parts as far as I know and CASEIH equipment. I really don't know why AGCO allowed this to happen. Deere would never allowed it.

Western Imp in Queen City MO was run by Richard Western .  He told me that he sold over $1 mil in Gleaners a year  in southern Iowa in the early 80's . No lawn & Garden .  Home of Rhonda Vincent .  Wanted NO part of Deutz, so closed his business when they came on the scene.  Building still there on Main Street .  He enjoys model T's .

I can't think of the name LaRock Implement or something, was a Deutz-Allis dealer in the 1980's in Kasson MN (actually just West of Kasson). Never really took off and closed a few years after it opened. Anyone remember if that was the name?

Also long before that there was an Allis Chalmers dealer in Kasson, near the railroad tracks. Very small they dealt in New Holland and Dodge too. My Dad thinks the name was Englested or Engsted or something close to that. Maybe started with an I. My Uncle Verlyn bought a new D14 there. It later changed to Patterson and they dropped Allis or at the switch over Allis wasn't picked up and then for a short while Patterson took on Massey Ferguson. Another Uncle bought two new Massey Ferguson snowmobiles there and he still has them somewhere in a shed. I think they were completely out of the farm implement business by the 80's. And in the 1980's they were just an independent used car dealership. A printing shop stands there now.

I wish I had more information on the two I just listed.

The ones we did business with were Hancock Farm Equip which at one time had stores in Herman, Tekamah and Blair Nebraska and Mahnke Implement in Fremont Nebraska. King Implement became Summit Lake Implement was in Tekamah after Hancock's moved everything to Blair. So we had three AC dealers within 25 miles of us.

Dad bought a used 200 from Kings back in the day. In the late 90s we drove by the old dealership after it was closed and King was outside. He showed us the old dealership building, gave me a bunch of old allis chalmers pens that were in a drawer in the shop and even gave me an orange cap dealer poster that was still up on the shop wall. It was a great day for young allis chalmers fan like myself.

Funny you mention Marshalltown Iowa, when I worked at Maytag in Jefferson City- there used to be a trucking company -Midland- and the driver was Howard Mason, he ran the transfers back and forth from Newton Iowa to JC,  then Maytag moved our factory to Mexico and later I heard Midland may have closed up too small world sometimes

There was one on County H near Cuba City, WI.  I don't know the name.

There is an Dealer out on the Highway near Platteville WI that I believe is the same dealer that was on H.  Last time I was over that way it was still open.  That woulda been 2011.

There is one that is still operating, west of Ann Arbor MI. Diuble is the name, spelling?  I rebuilt my 5020 mower from the parts I got from them.  I also got all of the D14 manuals from them.

When I was over in Ontario, east of Sarnia it seemed there was one on every country road you drove down.

Ohio Allis Chalmers Dealers, March 1977

I found this Magazine Page posted on here back in February 20, 2019.

taAdams(OH) Shared this information with me in another topic:

"Puster's AC was east of Ashland on 250, Stinmentz was in Loudonville and there was a big dealer in Wooster. Allis Chalmers is always our biggest showing of equipment.

Puster's was out east of Ashland, Fin, Feather, Fur was in it before they built the present building"

Does anyone know anything about Strasburg, OHIO having an AC Dealer? Location?
Where the one was in Bolivar, OHIO located?

The AC Dealer in Wooster was behind the Fairgrounds, Swift Auto Parts Building. That would have been the sight to see back in the 60 and 70's AC Dealer, IH Dealer, Oliver Dealer, up the road, around the Wayne County Fairgrounds.

Rainforth was the AC dealer in Greeley during the 50s and at least to mid 60s.  Dad bought a new D15 from Rainforth in 63.    We had it repaired once at I believe an AC dealer in Fort Collins.  In the 40s, I believe there was an AC dealer in Nunn Co.  but don't know the name.  Dad bought a C from them.

Hendersons in Columbia MO. was something else before Lance bought it in the '60s or '70s. I remember being there with dad when it was on old 63 north when brakes started squalling and I stepped out next to the pile of chain saws and mowers in front. tractor trailer took to the dirt shoulder to keep from rear ending a car trying to turn left into the trailer park next door. Hanging meat; truck came to a stop , lifted roadside wheels off the ground, set down, picked back up and entire rig flopped over! driver popped up out of his door like a prairie dog---MAD. family had WD's D15, D17, 180, and 190xt(now daughter's) bunch of implements and a Gleaner.

My family had a small Allis dealer for a few years here in SW Pennsylvania.  Sold Fordson for awhile as well.  Sadly, there is a grand sum of 0 pieces of literature or anything like that remaining from that dealership.

After the family dealership closed down,  Miller Brothers in Springs, PA was were all our stuff came from.
