someone contacted me as to where the Hyd level check is on the 6140. Don't have one and don't know... ???  For starters I told him to check around the seat and shift lever area.   Thanks. Dale

Dale I’m going out on a short limb here but I think it was mainly sheet metal changes, there were some other changes but it’s basically a 160. Look down to the right side of the seat and look for a round plug that a 3/8” drive socket wrench fits in to remove it. Now that I think of it I may be confusing it with the 6040. Regardless that would be a good place for him to check.

Sort rubber like plug on shift cover under seat with dipstick on it. It is a 6140 not a 6040.

When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money..

160 Turned into the 6040.  The 6140 is a completely different animal from Japan.

Thanks gentlemen. I went digging in the book boxes and found an Operators manual. It was what you suggested and I had offered originally. Sent him some pictures. That little tractor with front wheel assist has always been on my list.. but after hauling a couple of those and both had front end problems I started to wonder.. Dale
