Impossible to find the SAE10W-10 oil for the brake reservoir on these tractors. I have 1 in need of fluid that I’m repairing for a friend. What is everyone using? I was told Dextron 3 was an alternative?
Thanks Rob |

I added some to my 6080 some years back because the 'brake oil level' light would flicker. Remember it taking a long time to figure out what to use and don't remember what it was now. Only took about a tablespoon to make the light go out! Been fine ever since. Pretty sure I talked to. Reed at the farm store and he got me on the right track for what oil to use.

If they call it SAE10w... then that is a thin hydraulic fluid.. I would think, like the DR that Type F, or the old Dextron 1 or 2 would be good.... I might stay away from the MERCON LV or Dextron 6 typ "synthetic" heavy addative oils............. I have never heard of SAE10w - 10... that would be an oil that acts as 10w in the summer and 10w in the winter.. WHY put the -10 on the end ?

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
