Impossible to find the SAE10W-10 oil for the brake reservoir on these tractors. I have 1 in need of fluid that I’m repairing for a friend. What is everyone using? I was told Dextron 3 was an alternative? Thanks Rob

I added some to my 6080 some years back because the 'brake oil level' light would flicker. Remember it taking a long time to figure out what to use and don't remember what it was now. Only took about a tablespoon to make the light go out! Been fine ever since. Pretty sure I talked to. Reed at the farm store and he got me on the right track for what oil to use.

I'm OK with any type of automatic transmission fluid.

If they call it SAE10w... then that is a thin hydraulic fluid.. I would think, like the DR that Type F, or the old Dextron 1 or 2 would be good.... I might stay away from the MERCON LV or Dextron 6 typ "synthetic" heavy addative oils............. I have never heard of SAE10w - 10... that would be an oil that acts as 10w in the summer and 10w in the winter.. WHY put the -10 on the end ?
------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s.
