Guys, this is probably a simple one but I need some help.  I didn't take it apart but was called on after the fact.  See my picture and question

The new cutout switch is probably a big DIODE so...
if you have a +ve ground, as in the diagram, then the 'A' terminal of the genny goes to the ' + ' stud of the 'cutout'. The unmarked stud goes to the big wire...to ammeter.
Think of the diode as a one way switch. it allows power (current) to only flow one way.

The 'F' terminal of genny goes to the smaller wire that goes to the 'light switch' that controls the Field current ( charge rate).
