I need to buy fittings for the cylinders on my loader, but don't have access to them right now to know the correct size/type fittings to get.

I think I need pipe threads to screw into the cylinder and female o-ring to screw the hydraulic hose onto?  I think it is standard 3/8 hose from tractor supply?  Does this sound right?

What sizes on each end?

I'm pretty sure the cylinder fittings are NPT. Our Tractor Supply only has hoses with NPT ends. The fitting shown is a NPT swivel.

I looked at my 400 and all the hoses had 3/8 NPT male ends. Some were swivel ends. Fixed ends can be used with the swivel adapter. I am pretty sure the 500 uses the same type hoses, at least according to the parts book.

Yes. all 3/8 NPT on cyl's of both the 500 & 400 that I have.  I know the 500 has 1/2 steel lines on the boom to the front tilt jct. I think the 400 also but have to look for sure.  I moved the front jct's on the cross over tube for the bucket cyl's to the top of the tube vs the  back. On a 180 so the starter wt didn't interfere.  I do not care for the hose arrangement and as the hoses need replacing, I am putting steel lines from the jct back to the base of cyl's and basically short straight length of hose for the little flex it needs....Dale
