How much stroke does a 226 take to get 360 cubes?

Bore of 4.630" and stroke of 5.375" gets you 362. Cannot stroke a 4 inch bore enough to get 360.

Thank you.
I must have heard wrong, I guess he said 260 which would be 4x5.25 Is this a common stroke? As you can tell I know little about stroking rods and such.

I've put togather a few cheaper engines for guys at 4.155 bore and 4.28 bore and 5.4" stroke doe 295 and 310 cid. These engines don't require verry expensive parts and little machine work. Then I've put togather some pretty expensive ones with billet parts.
An offset ground crank and some Buda rods would get 4.85" stroke by the time the crank is cleaned up, with a 4.125 typical overbore sleeve would get a 260 cid engine. |
