    Posted: 29 Mar 2010 at 6:04pm

I was wondering how many members will be going to GOTO in Gray.  This is going to be a great show and anyone who has not planned to attend should try and make it.

I will be there along with my girlfriend and Dad; we will be there for the entire duration.  Unfortunately, I will not have anything in the show this year; but, there is always next year.

Who will be there?            *

Tri-State Antique Power Association
Newsletter: March 19, 2010
The next scheduled meeting of TSAPA will be held on Monday, April 5, at 7:00pm at the Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray. All members are encouraged to attend as this will be our last meeting before our GOTO Show.
There will be a Board Meeting at 6:00pm prior to the membership meeting.
A few changes in this years’ show was discussed at our last membership meeting. Some of these include:
 East TN. Tractor Pullers Association will not be participating in our program
 We will have a DEAD BOAT pull of farm stock show tractors organized by David Gross
 Renn and Zack Lawson will be helping with the TRACTOR OLYMPICS
 Jim Yates from Rutledge will be assisting David Hensley and Fred Milner with equipment demonstrations
 We are planning to have signs made on which the daily schedule of events will be posted at the entrance gate # 5 and the membership table
 Don Haas is checking into the rental of a larger and louder sound system
 We have 11x17 colored posters available for those who will help place them in area businesses to advertise our show, as well as the regular ones to hand out
 Wayne McNutt will be in charge of the ENGINES
 Daniel Boone FFA will again be doing the PETTING ZOO. The will be having a fund raiser activity for their school, “Cow Pie Bingo”
REMINDERS FROM THE ALLIS-CHALMERS CHAIRMAN: SCOTT RUTLEDGE
 Please park trailers in the big parking field or the designated area behind the fairground. No trailers are to be parked on the showground.
 We will need help in the parking lot, it looks like we may need to use the big field to park spectators and trucks and trailers, please see Henry Walker to help with this.
 The entire hill from the campers to the buildings is reserved for Allis-Chalmer displays only.
 If you would like to attend the Allis-Chalmers banquet, please make your reservations ASAP. You can make these by calling Camelia Morrison at:
 (704) 223-0769. The price is $15 per person
 We are getting calls from all over the United States, Canada and foreign countries. It looks like this will be a big show, so let’s give them our Southern Hospitality and have a good time.
REMINDER FROM ME:
 If the expiration date on the label of your newsletter reads 4-2010, you will need to stop by the membership table at the show to pay your dues for 2011 and pick up your receipt and new membership card.
If you are not planning to come to the show, you can mail your dues to me at the address on the return label of your newsletter
The annual cost remains at $15

We planned to go there on our way home from Florida. But unfortunately we had to come home early. We hope to still go, we have a camp site and tickets to the banquet. But not sure at this time we will make it.

Had plans of driving up early Sat morning, but just found out my 83 year old, never been sick a day in his life grandfather in Amarillo has a very fast spreading form of cancer. He only has 3 months, I'm going out on 4-17 to see him while he's still in fairly good shape. Regret that I won't make the GOTO, but gramps is much more important to me. Won't make the big iron crank up in Bowman either.

I'll be there with a buddy. We'll be in the dry camping area in a Mountineer fith Wheel.
There will be Allis-Chalmers Club of Ontario logos hanging on the canopy. It usually ends up being a meeting place. Stop by for a refreshment.

Planning to drive up Thursday after I get off work at the fire dept. My wife is coming with me on this one unless her brother takes a turn for the worse. Got our banquet tickets in the mail today. Thanks, Camelia! Also got motel reservations in Johnson City. Looking forward to seeing a lot of orange and meeting a lot of orange folks.

Dream, sorry to hear the news about your grandfather. Spend all the time you can with him. You won't regret it.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

I've noticed that few vendors at shows have their names on their booth. It would be nice to know.
