Just wanted to share some pictures of what you all have made possible!!
Just some of the machined parts. Awesome looking clutch (thanks Rick!!) New liners are in!! Only requires 2 orings!! On my next one I'll take sleeves to machine shop and get one cut in between the two! (Great idea MACK??, That would help if there is much eroding in the block) New pistons (Got some extra help on the weekend.. guess he gets free rent this week) Couple new gears.. Thanks Albert for helping me with the pump gear!! Had to go to AGCO for the crankshaft gear. New water pump.. she better run cool, mains, rods, wrist pins bushings, camshaft bearings. Toaster oven isn't for when I get hungry, well I guess it could be, use it to heat up my gears before pressing them on! I'll share some more soon, but really appreciate everything I have learned here!

Engine looks great! Think of the wage/hr that you’re earning by doing it yourself.
Is she a gear jumper or is it all good in the transmission department? Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. |

Looks good. I'm waiting for someone to write a topic on rebuilding a 301 like the ones on here for a gas 226.

Update on progress... I got her running last weekend!!
couple issues: 1. i am now seeing a spark at the front pulley and the timing pointer?? pretty consistent doesn't matter the RPM 2. I have been trying to fix a leak at the injection pump. I thought it was for #6 cylinder and found a serious leak on the slotted screw on the back of the pump. Got it bandaged up and now small leak on #6 line at pump and #3 or #4 injector. I have the new valve cover "doped" up and it is not leaking in the front or back ! Trying to get her to quit seeping!! Give me some suggestions... Please Thanks
