By chance would anyone have a generic(non Agco) part number for a thermostat for a 175 and also a 185?
Thanks

For starters my nearest Agco dealer 2 hours is away plus they could care two ____s about anything allis.
Second the thermostat is most likely made by Stant, Motorad, Decli etc.
Which I could probably pickup at the Napa across the street for a few bucks. Problem is not a single aftermarket thermostat maker lists one.. it’s like a big secret.
Seems the only way is to take them down there, open every box and match them up.

That does suck ,,,  185 is common as its a diesel, whats the 175 gas or diesel < as the diesel has a Perkins engine

There's usually two plates that need to be added on a 175 for the thermostat they list. Sandy Lake has excellent service and probably has what you need in stock.

2 plates? Mine runs very cool, too cool with the 236 Perkins. Maybe that is the issue.

I went to NAPA, they let me go back and go thru the boxes. I found one that fits. I wrote it down somewhere but can't find it. I am sure someone has it somewhere. Tracy

Allisbred the Perkins diesel  dose not use the plates that is used in gas engine . JUST a thermostat for diesel.
