Does anyone have any tips changing engine fan belts HD16 dozer. Does the hydraulic pump need to be pulled out of the way? Seems like they would engineer it better. But maybe not. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Can not say on your tractor, as I have been there on a HD 16. But others I have worked on have double u joint drive. Many times 6 or 8, 3/8 bolts holding a plate inside the front pully. All of that type I have done you can remove drive coupling without moving the pump.

this has 6 bolts on crank pulley holding driveshaft on, but no room in the shaft to slide it back and out of the way
