I spent most of my money on old tractors I wasted the rest

The tractor is a 1cyl feildmarshall and a 1 cyl fowler VF both built in 50s and a fowler  Leeds 3.30 built 1936 has saunder 3 cyl motor  all built in Leed of England

yes 4.9 lt 1 cyl    Here is a 4.1 lt 1 cyl 4016 John Deere Lanz and the blue lanz bulldog is 7.3 lt 1 cyl

the field marshal tractor and fowler vf crawler are single cylinder two stroke deisels. i beleve the tractor was built in gainsborough and the crawler was built in leeds. no dought if im wrong somebody from this side of the pond will put me right.

Hi the 1cyl marshals you light a glo wike and crank or a 12 gage powder shot
 from 1954 on Lanz Bulldogs were elc start the starter with glow plug then swung back and forwad aganst compresion until srart
The Lanz Bulldogs the old ones ues a blow torch heat up the hot bowl and insert the steering wheel swing back on compresion it will start

The Fowler VF crawler is ours . Here is a video on starting one with a cartridge
And this is Starting a Field Marshall Tractor with the crankhandle . Both machines use the same engine .

Great videos. The different starting procedures are very interesting. Never seen anything like them.
