Steve - Are the bolt holes bigger?

An old dozer bloke here used to just bush the bolt holes with polypipe.  The example was fitting D7E rollers to a "Whistler" D7.

I guess the bolts do the positioning and the flat surface bolted down does the holding.

David...Yes I have a Berco book that has those numbers. Not sure if you need to be more specific. There appears to be lots of variations for those tracks. They also fit the old HD9 and HD11...there are AC part numbers for cross reference too. Do you have a AC part number? I'll try to scan and post that...I think that was posted before...or something was that disappeared.

I have an HD7 with complete transmission, final drives etc up to clutch housing
and a *real nice* set of tracks. Front right idler also.
I accidently junked the left front idler, though it was quite worn.
I am going to be selling it off/parting it off this year.
No engine no radiator, no left undercarriage. Right is mostly complete.
If anyone is interested I can take some photos if anyone would like.

I stopped at the scrap yard and the guys said the HD6G dozer is still there. The owner was gone for the day, but I dropped off Jerry's contact info so hopefully he'll get in touch tomorrow. They had already locked the gate for the day so didn't get any pictures. Will try again if I get time, at least he didn't just haul it in and cut it up for scrap like he does with old combines, etc.

I need a working steering clutch assembly. The assembly I want is the drum, frictions, steels, springs, and pressureplate. Please find out if they will pull it and what they want for it. Could you take a picture of it for those who might be able to afford shipping on the track.

Thank you

Local scrap yard had an HD6G-15548 that he brought in to scrap out a few weeks ago. Haven't been there since so don't know if its still there. Said they pulled it when he went to load it and it did start, one steering clutch didn't work, no bucket. Tracks seemed ok to my untrained eye. Scrap price gets pretty high. Could check on it if anyone was seriously interested.

I was going to cut up my HD7 and bring it to the junk yard but last minute decided, if I can get more than junk value and provide someone with useful parts, I might do so. That said, I junked the left front idler and had this idea on the drive back from the junk yard.

I have a complete undercarriage for the right side, complete with idler, roller, and a pretty good track.
I also have the left track as well but I have to dig it out of the dirt and see what we've got.

Complete transmission rear of the clutch housiong and intact final drives and rear sprockets (usable but I would not use them as replacements on a restoration).

I will get serial numbers and year and pictures up if there is interest.

I was quoted $275 Canadian each on the KTP rollers, with 36 piece minimum order, so the price is pretty good.

Yeah, Steve- have heard of guys using D5 rollers by welding a bar onto the track frame.  Pretty sure you could bolt it on using recessed holes to make it work as well.
I heard back from Berco- they have discontinued the HD11 stuff, don't make the links any more, and there aren't enough left over to make a complete track.  Still some odds and ends of components left at the factory, but no significant amounts.  The only thing left is a couple sets of pins and bushings- 2500.00 Canadian.  Pretty expensive- the last set of pins and bushing I did was 1800 including installation.  Inflation, I guess...

I contacted ITM North America as well, concerning HD11 track parts.  Intertractor has basically abandoned the small crawler market in North America, due to price undercutting by Chinese manufacturers, and are now concentrating on mining machinery.  The lady I talked to says they quit making HD11 components in 2007.  She told me to contact Berco, and even gave me the Berco part number to check.  (which I already had from ACMel)  So I put in a couple of Berco numbers to my dealer just for kicks.
Turns out the Chinese ralis (Valuepart, ESS, etc) are much cheaper (about 70% of the cost of Berco), but are not intended to be rebuilt- you just run them to destruction, throw them away, and get new gear.

Got a email on a core transmission, potentially totalled inside but all parts on/in it,  Looked to minnpar, clutch plates are still available(most of them), a few seals so I would need to tear it apart and see if I can locate the small seals and seal rings from ahydraulics shop.  'Core' trans $550 and I pick it up in Redbud Il.

Incidentally, Henderson Mfg was the supplier of track adjusters to Allis Chalmers, so they are a good source for those parts as well.

Steve- I said KTM, my mistake- it's KTP
Ktsu for short, Kunshan Kensetsu Buhin for long, part number is AC1839.

I'm not sure if they have any distribution "down under" or not- here it is under KTP America, Union Tractor is the dealer in Canada, US dealers are Industrial Tractor Parts and Boyd and Sons.  I bought a set of these rollers to install on our 11-B, the dealer assured me they have had excellent results with KTP products on other makes of machinery.  The rollers look like the old Simmel rollers used to look- bushing construction but no drilled shaft for greasing.
One of the American Dealers ordered a run of about 100 rollers a couple of years ago, and that is where mine came from.  They are sold out now, not sure if they will be ordering more.

Dozer, I had contacted ITM, and a few others as you did with Berco, actually called them and got the same responses verbally, it is as if they don't care to make a sale on these old machines, morons, there are a lot of our machines out in use, they could be selling rails and pads to a great deal of us if, IF they had stock in place.  Could be part of a agenda to try to move these out and newer machines in, keep the wheels of time greased and rolling.

I have a contact email into a local yard that has scrapped 7G units, as to trans parts for mine, if they don't I will get into contact with Hector Gemme here, he has a few pieces as of last count, may have to order up a whole trans to get a rebuild going while still using my machine.
