New member here trying to get a tractor ready to square bale some hay. I have a series 4 D17 and am in need of Agco Part# 70229579 plug. I found the part number from a post by forum member Saubz back in 2020. His post showed a picture of where the plug goes and even included part number. I just am not having luck finding one online. does anyone have a recommendation?

Thank you,
Adam

Also to update: I called a dealership and they looked up the part number for me. They said it is no longer available.

i dont think there are any threads in that hole ??  Seems like it is similar to a FREEZE PLUG that you pound in a hole to seal it up ???

You should be able to use a GENERIC plug if you measure the ID of the hole..does it look something like this ??? you would need to check the RIGHT DIAMETER...

The plug keeps it from leaking hydraulic oil. There are no threads in there and I am starting to think the answer of finding a generic plug like a freeze plug and driving it in seems to be the fix. I think Napa has something I can use.
