Have to add, anyone know the weight on a full dress Turbo 344? I will be dragging a headless block from one to pull and add the full dress unit from mine, less than ton? with the converter still attached but fluids drained?

I will be using the 180 for removal of the first to see if it will even do the job, if not will probably fabricate my own floor solid gantry to pull it and slide it to one side. Wish I had a backhoe at this time. |

My AC 6000/7000 manual says you must have 2000# lifting capacity or 3000# capacity when pulling engine with transmission. I used the loader on my International 3444 TBL. It was bearly up to the task of pulling the block and flywheel without the cylinder head. I puled it from the side with the HD6G shovel down. I broke the water bypass tube during the lift. Pulling the motor from the side I had to lift the motor quite high to clear the shovel. Next time I will pull from the front with the shovel up. Good luck

If you pull from the front you have to lift the assembly 12" If you use a gantry, the beam has to be the length of the crawler plus the lingth of the engine and torque converter. I had a great dificulty with the rear engine mount alignment. That is why next time I will pull from the front.
