We picked up a sickle bar mower for the G the other day. I have a couple questions.
1. should there be a gasket between the tractor and the pto? 2. our pto is spinning, the pulley is spinning and the belt spins the larger pulley on the mower when engaged, however the shaft that causes the sickle to move does not spin. The sickle bar is lubed up and loose. Thank you in advance for the help. Lincoln

Might be a sheared roll pin in the 90 deg gear box. The gears are held on to the shafts with roll pins. You can take the top of the gear box off and look down into it. This happened to mine last summer. Pretty easy to change, but make sure you get all the pin pieces - mine shattered the pin pretty bad.
cheers,
Creek
