I am rebuilding a Gleaner A. All the scrap yards I've contacted have gotten rid of them.
Does anyone know if any parts from F, K or other models fit? I am particularly looking for the base part of the unloading auger, or maybe even the whole thing.

A few weeks too late. I had about 500 pounds or more of NOS gleaner parts that I decided had been in my way too long, I sent them to China. Your in Va. I'm in Md. and if you had come got them, I would have given them to you. I have no idea of how much would have worked on a Gleaner model A.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

It's the auger part in the base (the part connected to the grain bin) with a universal joint that is most beat up, but the whole thing is a bit rough.
I'm thinking my best option is lots of pictures and measurements and visit Oakley salvage in NC. Was hoping someone on here had done it before!

I haven’t replaced an A grain tank auger, but I have replaced whole units on K & F. Get a whole replacement unit & a new drive end bearing when upgrading. Check replacements yoke for wear. Try to find one in decent shape. Could use a hydraulic fold or manual if parts machine is complete enough(hydraulic valve/cylinder/linkage, etc)?

Thanks, that's encouraging. I thought about trying to upgrade to hydraulic, I've got an extra port on the manifold. I'll have to see what I can find.
