Went to fire up the G the other day and heard a metallic snap and then it had no compression. I assumed broken camshaft/timing gear or something but this morning I pulled it in the shop and all 4 intake valves are stuck open and all 4 exhaust valves are working fine. Before I tear it apart I would like to know what would cause this?

If the exhaust are opening and closing, I would bet the intake are stuck from water. They all shouldn't be stuck at completely open unless rust has seized them after you turned engine over. With the cover off you should be able to inspect the valve stems. Try some kroil and see it they will free up.Hth  Tracy

Like Tracy said, rust has formed on intake stems, first time they opened
the rust dug in to the guides and they all stuck in succession
