Actually, I've been pretty slack on my picture taking this year. I didn't get to Kalona or Hutchinson. I didn't go to the farm progress show and it's very close for me. I even missed the Widlund show by being at The US Nationals in Indianapolis. The Albert city show is a good one and the big steel wheelers didn't disappoint. They are a fascinating piece of equipment and it would have really been interesting to see the machines that built them.

You can't explain nitromethane to someone. They have to be there in person to experience it. It's a hoot watching first timers.

I sat in high school library reading Hot Rod magazine. They always talked about how you had to experience nitro to understand it. I though yeah yeah.  20 yrs later I took the new sons in laws (and my girls) to the event in St Louis (Madison IL). Flat out unbelievable!!! The  nitro burners were now a lot faster than the 70's. The  pounding you get on your body from the headers is unreal along with the noise level. Everyone should experience it once.
