| Actually, I've been pretty slack on my picture taking this year. I didn't get to Kalona or Hutchinson. I didn't go to the farm progress show and it's very close for me. I even missed the Widlund show by being at The US Nationals in Indianapolis. The Albert city show is a good one and the big steel wheelers didn't disappoint. They are a fascinating piece of equipment and it would have really been interesting to see the machines that built them. |

You can't explain nitromethane to someone. They have to be there in person to experience it. It's a hoot watching first timers. Steve

| I sat in high school library reading Hot Rod magazine. They always talked about how you had to experience nitro to understand it. I though yeah yeah. 20 yrs later I took the new sons in laws (and my girls) to the event in St Louis (Madison IL). Flat out unbelievable!!! The nitro burners were now a lot faster than the 70's. The pounding you get on your body from the headers is unreal along with the noise level. Everyone should experience it once. |
