Years ago a relative was so impressed by his Nova car that he named his first born daughter Nova.

My Aunt had a 1965 Malibu, a Nicer version Nova of the day, Brother had a 71 Pontiac Ventura II 6cyl Power Glide, sold it to Grandmother as her 55 Bel Aire Had To Go, without PS or Power Brakes and three on tree she could barely manage. Then he bought a 74 Nova, 6 and three on column, do NOT know why as had NO AC, No PS, did have Power Brakes.

If my understanding is correct, the Malibu was a Chevelle; a bigger car than the Nova. You should have hung on to the '55 Belaire.

Not by Much but correct. Most running gear was compatible from either to either.

Chevelle was the "A" body platform.
Camaro was the "F" body platform. As typical GM at the time, many items universally fit most of their platforms.

Correct me if I am wrong; Chevelle and Nova had a full frame and the Camaro frame stopped under the front floor-board and was unibody from there on back, right ? Or, were the 67-69 Camaros full-frame and the half-frame started in 70 ?

Camaro and Nova were unibody throughout production. Chevelle had a full frame, at least through the 70s.

All Camaro cars had 1/2 frame. Ended almost even with back of trans. Transmission cross member bolted to top of frame and close to end of frame. Back of car was I guess a kind of unibody. Front was regular design heavy frame same as their bigger cars. So kind of a hybrid deal. 😀😀

Nova was X-body. Front frame stub bolted to uni-body. Similar to Camaro
