Where can I get new packing for the load adjustment screw on my D17 tractor? The screw leaks a little and will not stay tight, I tried tightening the nut, but still the same problem.

i would guess you carb model is a 773 on the D17 .... There are "small kits" (gaskets) and "larger kits" that would contain more brass or steel parts.... i would THINK that anything you needed would be in that kit..

Well, if its a Marvel, it should be a TSX-773,869 , or 871. I would check to make sure its the correct Carb first. Sometimes over the years, Tractors get different Carbs put on them unless its been in the family since day one and you know it hasn't been changed. I carry some in stock. Find out the Carb # first and we can go from there.... Steve@B&B

I don't know why they don't put these in the kits.I have yet to find a kit that includes them.Seems pretty silly to me.Here's where I found them.Roberts carburetor repair. It's #34 in the pic.scroll down the page to see it.Although your carb number isn't in this list, this packing does fit your application. The carbs listed on this page are large bowl marvels as is the carb used on D17 so most of the parts interchange.I bought a half dozen or so when I found them as I have several old A/Cs around here.Hope this helps you out. http://robertscarbrepair.com/carburetor-parts/marvel-schebler-tsx-m-40-320-330-420-430-440/

Not included in the kits ?? Man, somebody screwed up there... So its similar to the fuel bowl shutoff valve on the gas tank.... Maybe wrap a few rows of teflon floss around the shaft and reinstall the nut ??

They were never put in kits because they are considered a "service part" not a rebuild part. That's in the same category as floats, venturi's and nozzles. Steve@B&B
