Cab for WD, kind of.

I recently acquired a 1949 AC WD, and decided I would use it for the upcoming winter to clear snow on residential drives and smaller businesses. While my Excursion does well for larger lots, its a bit cumbersome when it comes to short runs such as driveways. 

To that effect, I searched around a bit and found the Original Tractor Cab. The owner stated it was off of a 180, and it seems to be a universal style as it's adjustable in height and width to a degree. The door vinyl will be replaced soon, but overall I was pleased with how it fit on the WD. Entry in the side door takes a bit of finesse, but it beats freezing to death! The heat housers came with it, and seem to be quite effective at warming up the cab. 



A wiper and defrost fan are on order, then I'll install some side mirrors and a backup cam for better visibility with the rear blade (and less neck strain).

That's just pretty darn cool.

It can in the right conditions, on past equipment I usually spritz the camera with some Rain-X. That, coupled with the engine vibrations, tends to keep it pretty clear.

We are about to find out! I'm going to load the tires and sipe them first to see how it does. I try to avoid chains as it tears up customer's drives and we usually (knocks on wood) don't get a lot of ice. If that doesn't work, I may shoot some grip studs branded carbide studs into the lugs to give it a little extra bite without the rough ride of chains on pavement.
