I recently acquired a 1949 AC WD, and decided I would use it for the upcoming winter to clear snow on residential drives and smaller businesses. While my Excursion does well for larger lots, its a bit cumbersome when it comes to short runs such as driveways.

To that effect, I searched around a bit and found the Original Tractor Cab. The owner stated it was off of a 180, and it seems to be a universal style as it's adjustable in height and width to a degree. The door vinyl will be replaced soon, but overall I was pleased with how it fit on the WD. Entry in the side door takes a bit of finesse, but it beats freezing to death! The heat housers came with it, and seem to be quite effective at warming up the cab.

A wiper and defrost fan are on order, then I'll install some side mirrors and a backup cam for better visibility with the rear blade (and less neck strain).

Doesnt take much to stay warm if you're out of the wind

This is true! I made a buddy seat, as my son like to go for rides in it as well. He thinks he's pretty darn cool if he gets dropped off at school in a tractor (my daughter is too 'cool' for that now).

Great pictures,  especially the one with son.

I was wondering if the snow is blowing, would that cover the camera, or at least the lens frame?

It can in the right conditions, on past equipment I usually spritz the camera with some Rain-X. That, coupled with the engine vibrations, tends to keep it pretty clear.

Congrats on a great looking setup.  That WD has combine wheels on the rear instead of the traditional Power Adjust Wheels (PAWs).  I think it's cool for your son to get dropped off too!  Have you promised him it'll be HIS tractor in a few years?  LOL

Awesome! The WD can really push and stack snow! With double ring chains on she’s a beast!!!

Yes it had the combine wheels on when I bought it, the tires are in decent shape so we will run these for awhile.

I think he already thinks it's his tractor now.. lol

We are about to find out! I'm going to load the tires and sipe them first to see how it does. I try to avoid chains as it tears up customer's drives and we usually (knocks on wood) don't get a lot of ice. If that doesn't work, I may shoot some grip studs branded carbide studs into the lugs to give it a little extra bite without the rough ride of chains on pavement.

I also installed the windshield wiper system today. The kit came with 2 washer nozzles, so the plan is to install one on the windshield and one on the rear window to keep everything clear.
