First question,no picture of the actual serial number? And if my memory is correct I though a couple years ago a 190 sold at auction that was number 1, it had a narrow front. Sold maybe around Ohio? I remember it being discussed on here.

Might be like the G with the serial number that is lower than what production stared at, but has the production type frame instead of the one of the many pre-production types.

Mecum auctions sold the first 180 not too long ago. I too would like to see a picture of both the engine and tractor serial numbers. |

yeesh... for 20,000 Canucks I'd expect it to run and NOT be a 'fixer upper'! I don't care that there's a 'parts tractor' cause once you rob it, then #1001 is NOT original...just another 190.
I didn't see a seat on it either though it has been a loooooooong day . Have a look at the B I posted a link to...7000 Canucks and it's on CAR tires/rims !!! Jay |

I have seen the tractor. It is rough but it is # 1. Jimmy stopped by my place several years ago when he bought it and I checked it out.

It's #1! I emailed him and asked for pictures and some more info on it. Would love to own it but his starting price is high.
I stumble across the tractor 10 years ago in Wisconsin. I was buying a 190 High Crop and the guy had this one also. The guy I bought it from had bought it the week before from an old man up there. Not sure how long the older gentleman had it. |

Well so far I would say you can just wait and offer less. There can't be alot of people out there with the cash to be willing to pay big bucks for it needing a full restoration. Maybe it is just me but being the fist one wouldn't make it worth that much to me.

Get you own number stamps and do like some others, have whatever serial number you'd like.

I'd agree with the S/N 1 not adding much, maybe some and maybe if it was in top notch condition. My Dad had a old Deere manure spreader, S/N 1. It was rough but restorable. When Dad died Mom literally had to give it away to get rid of it. Edited by Play Farmer - 08 May 2016 at 12:48pm |
