What would be your BEST EXCUSE ,Other then WORK ,Health or Wife telling you you can't GO  to a GOTO 50 - 100 miles of home.

I never had anyone keep me from going to any even when it was 1200 miles away .

Not much would stop me from going to a GOTO. Being that close to home any allis chalmers collector should support it by attending.

Fred,  even if someone told you to not like one of the persons involved with the GOTO?
I can't imagine anyone in their right mind would be so petty.

I haven't been to as many as I'm sure some of you fellows have, but I've been to a few.  In 2025 it's only going to be about 20 miles from me.  Lord willing, I'll be at that one for sure.

Like Chuck said, I was told it's going to be in Penfield, IL in the fall of 2025.  They have a show every year with different makes of tractors being featured.  It is usually a week or two before the Half Century of Progress show in Rantoul.

because I have other commitments. I have a daughter in collage and a son in high school almost every weekend is committed. I don't have time to stay current flying and I own 2 airplanes. So you can put me on the haters list. while I currently own 4 AC tractors. its npt one of my high priorities.

For those of us that live in the Eastern States I can tell you it is NOT the Mid Atlantic Allis Chalmers Club.  But this BS is going on in the area.

Just to set the record straight!!,  Maryland Steam and Mid Atlantic Allis Chalmers are hosting a GOTO  ALL are welcome to attend and display.  We would never discourage anyone that is affiliated with  our clubs or any other clubs to not attend.  However civil obedience is required.  Their are rumors that another club is telling their people to not attend. I believe this to be true and based on one persons petty foolishness.

I was wondering where this post was heading. There was a group around here that had the attitude that it was there way or the highway. When a friend goes to shows he has a few different colors, so the one year he had a few of the feature color he always likes to park everything together because he would sit by his display during the show. He ended up parked out back with the non feature tractors. He wasn't so excited about going back the next year. I think their turnout suffered. Their are other people on the show board now.

GEES... of all the things to PISS and WHINE about, i would think going to a Tractor Show would be at the BOTTOM of the list...Why would anyone discourage going to any antique tractor or car show ?

My thoughts exactly, Steve. In my neck of the woods there are just not that many AC's,,fact is there are not too many of any one brand so I do not even think about picking a particular brand,,,they are ALL Tractors of years past and I enjoy em all,,,,,Clap

I heard some rumblings about this "controversy" at Hutchinson last summer. It's sad that people are so focused on their own agenda, that they don't want others to succeed.

I plan to be there. Hoping a lot of you will be making the trip to the Madrid NY GOTO in 2023 !

Exactly, Best guess is what Tbone95 said. This one person was part of Mid Atlantic and didn't get her way.  The big question is how far will she go with this?  I believe that when her following figures out what her real motive is her following will dwindle.

No logical goal, just want to feel superior and important.  Probably got in some ridiculous spat with somebody, and thinks everyone should follow suit.

I’d like to go to a few shows but I’ve got a full time job, 300 acres of row crops, 120 head of cattle and 2 young children. Hell most weekends I have 2 or 3 farm hands working just to keep things looking like I actually care
