I've been thinking about getting a 200 to go along with my 210 and use the 200
to use for pulling instead of the 210.
But I know very little about the 200,don't know what engine it has and is the
rear end heavy enough for pulling.
Probably pull it in a 9500 lb class.

Really good tractor, has the 6 cylinder 301 turbo engine. Very reliable and can handle the extra hp if pump work is done. 4 pinion rear end and also reliable. What class do you plan to pull it in?

A model 200 could actually be considered a series 4 190XT.

Would be pulling it in 9500 lb farm class only,I have pulled the 210
in this class before but it's a lot of work to get it down to that weight.

Depends on your area and what that class means but at that weight you will be going against IH 1066, JD 4000 series, Ford 8000/9000 series among others. Not saying it can't be done but they will have a lot more motor than you do.

My 2 cents.I am an allis guy, but in 2023 I would choose a 5.9 Cummins to be competitive in a 7500-9500 class with the 200 if the rules allow. A good customer friend found an engine some hot rodder had spent a ton on hp stuff then tired of and bought, installed and now can run over road gear in the light class with a single turbo - with very little breakage at the price of a Pump. To build a 301 to this hp level requires deep pockets to be reliable unless one likes to come in last place. Having said all this negative stuff - if you are in a true farm stock class like 3000 rpms or less, a 301 can be taken to the level of letting you run 6th gear in the 9500 - gotta find out your competition - if you do well someone will change the rules or out spend you next year :-) ...

Around here they put DT466 in 806 chassis and pull farm stock. I love my 190 but it is what it is.

Charlie is right when he describes what your gonna be up against Ford 8600 can get in that class so your going against 401c.i. Although non turbo, they have a lot of hi end torque. Of course, most slip a turbo on them since the 9600 is the same tractor just with a turbo. They are hard to beat with bigger tires, dual power and 16 speed transmission to their benefit. If everyone truly pulled stock class tractors in a 9500 lb class your not going to be competitive at a 100 c.i. disadvantage right off the bat. Pulled against too many of them to know.

I've always wanted to swap in a 426 into a 200 chassis to pull farm stock around our area. I don't know how stock it would look when done. But I bet only a true allis person would catch on.

Id give it a whirl , I ran one for a few years , had a tight engine and new fuel system all stock but the pump was turned up - was very competitive in the 9 thru 11,000 lb class ; this was Farm pulling - tire size limits, could run in 5 th gear on some tracks , but mostlt 4 th worked good - the guy who got me started was big on watching/ reading the track- alot of guys just get into it and go
