this is the tach on my series 2 17 it had 9001 hrs on it when it quit working long before I got it what a durable tractor

 No hour meters on anything Allis that I got, but, I seem to buy tractors with drawbar holes at least twice as long as the original diameter.

 All of my tachs quit at 1999!!!! Must have been something to do with Y2K   :-)  LoL
You do have the durable part right.The energizer bunny has got nothing on an Allis. They will keep goin and goin long after that bunny has kicked the bucket.

          We have a 1958 D17 that the tach has  turned over once and has about 920 hrs on the second time around.

Our one ninty had 4100 hrs on it when I got it in 1972. Tach never worked since we owned it. I guess it has around 15000-20000 hrs on it now. Rebuilt the motor twice, three rebuilds on the injector pump, all new hardened gears on the front of the motor, and it is about time for another overhaul but it still runs good.
B, C, RC, 3 wc,2 wd,3 wd45, d15, d17, d19, d21, 190, 440, 7040, 918 backhoe, 12 roto balers, 7 60 combines, 40, 66,2 72,90 super, sp100, Gleaner E, F3, 3 L2, R62, and much more

7039  as  of  today on my 8050,  but the tach  comes and goes so it has to be many more.

The highest hour piece of equipment I ever saw at work was a jd 644 loader with over 22,000 hours I wonder how many of them were racked up just sitting at the salt pile waiting to load trucks
