I always loved the look of the WD, followed closely by the D14 and D15.

To me the nicest looking Allis Chalmers Tractor is a C. Back in the day (40 - 50) there was a picture of a C raking on the cover of Farm Journal. Great looking picture. Good Luck! Bill Long

For me the best looking is probably a dolled up 200 like the pic earlier and then the 210 and any of the hundred series. I prefer the looks of the 210 over the 220 because it just looks a little sleeker and fast. Followed closely by the black belly 7000 series with stadium lights and duals. The worst I think..... now don't jump on me, is the D21. It looks too much like an IH or Oliver with the grill and I never liked sloped fenders on anything. Also I was disappointed in the looks of the 8000 series when they first came out. Again the grill was what I didn't like. It should have been left raked forward like the 7000 series. Boy I remember when I was little in the early to mid 70's playing with my Dad's toy 190 my Mom bought him when they first got married probably back in 64 or 65 and then going over to my cousin's where he had a new toy 200. I really have had a soft spot for a 200 ever since and today I own a pretty nice one but not the toy.... yet.

I just can't put my finger on it, but a D-21 has (to me at least) "faint" body/hood lines of a JD 4000 series

I can sort of see the IH-ish look of the D21, can't say as I can see a Deere look to it. I like it because it's so unique and badass. Chrome stack, and ooh man!
Talk about being bashed: A WD looks like it was thrown together with mismatched spare parts, and if you hit a bump it looks like the seat would double as a decent catapult. 8000 series with the rearward rake grill looks like an ugly piranha, where the 7000 just looks like it's pulling even when it's just sitting there!

Gleaner K2 longback (1978-1981) diesel or gas are under rated simple combines.
The 7000 series - black or maroon. D21, hands down tough boss! |

Ted, I have NO illusions of your statement, we ran a WD and a series 2 D-17 for YEARS, still have a "PINING" for the early D series with the headlights on the radiator shell. The "goofy" looking fender-mount series 3 looks like @#)% to me(JMO). seems like we ran a D-19 with the fender mounts, but that is a different story.

The black frame 7080 with lights and mirrors. Outfit them with diamond front tires and a full rack of weights.
The 200 with cab and air. Pie weights and a rack of twelve. WD45 D with nf and power steering. OK, ok, a D21 Series II. Let's face it, they are special, and always will be. The two rib fenders on a UC and outfitted with the 8" Guide headlights. I have seen posts like this before. Which one looks the nicest or meanest, favorite or least favorite, and I love them. 5 Stars
