My XT is down to 7100- 7200 lbs, with 1/2" plate front bolster, no 3 pt but still have rockshaft housing and pto on. Cast 34" wheel centres and 20.8 x 34 tires. Hoping to get into 6500lb class.
Question: If I install clamp on 9 bolt hubs with pressed steel wheels how many lbs will this knock off tractor?

You'll lose more if your old wheels are power shift spin outs. I'd guess 350 lbs minimum and maybe up to 500 lbs. There are lighter weight dual wheel centers and heavier weight wheel centers you know.

They are double bevel rims. Your estimate of 350-500 lbs less is for one side or both sides combined. Weld on 9 bolt hubs would be lighter than clamp ons but I really do not want to go that route.

Thanks for your information Dr. Allis. Your assistance and assistance from others on this site is very helpful to many of us that are just learning the ins and outs of Allis tractors and Allis pulling tractors.
