Just a quick dumb question. I will be wiring the WD tonight, this tractor was set up with a 12 V alternator previously, I changed that to a 12V generator.

When wiring the amp, should the lead come off one terminal of the battery, and the other lead to the other terminal?

Might sound dumb, but this really is my first wiring job!
Also, has anyone documented a wiring diagram for a 12V with generator?
thanks, Don

You mean the ammeter?  Pick up power from the lug at the starter, run it to the ammeter, then take any other power wire  to the other side of it, such as lights, ignition coil, etc for it to read properly.  Are you going to a 12v neg ground as well?

This site is ripe with info for many wiring related stuff for out old orange tractors.

Yep, the ammeter. And yes it is a negative ground. Thanks!
