I kind of touched on this idea once before with no real for certain response, but will a power shift transmission out of an 8050 go into a 7580, semi feasibly? I do know that anything is possible with enough time and money throwed at it, but I am mostly wondering about the basic bolt up. I know that shifting cables and such would be an issue, which I think could be resolved by raiding a 2wd 7000 series powershift, but other than that would dimensions and bolt patterns be the same? As far as it holding up to the load, I wouldn't worry about that, because the only thing it would be doing is either pulling a planter or a sprayer, neither of which would work it hard, but a power shift would be nice for. Reason I ask, is I have a 7580 with the transmission out of it and a burned up 8050 that the power shift should be all right yet. Any thoughts? Thanks, Darrel

It'll have to be next winter's project. If it works out, it should be a sweet spraying tractor. Darrel
